Konpa is a dance music genre that originated in Haiti in 1950s by Nemours Jean-Baptiste. Ba Yo is a highly experienced and passionate Konpa dance instructor with over 13 years of experience. Growing up Haitian, Ba Yo fell in love with Konpa music and dance at a young age and has been dedicated to mastering the art form ever since. His infectious enthusiasm for Konpa dance has led him to teach students of all ages and skill levels for more than a decade.
Ba Yo possesses a deep understanding of the rich history and cultural significance of Konpa dance, which he incorporates into his teaching approach. He believes that Konpa is not merely about moving your body to the rhythm of the music, but also about self-expression and fostering profound connections with others.
